Anneli Tammik
Anneli Tammik graduated in jewellery art from the Estonian Academy of Arts and further honed her talent at the Department of Jewellery and Metalwork at Sheffield Hallam University in England. She is one of the brightest stars of the Estonian jewellery art scene.
Her captivating motifs, elegant forms and innovative solutions offer a high-level aesthetic experience and world-class jewellery enjoyment to those who value individuality. Anneli Tammik’s jewellery, created predominantly by hand, is worn by a number of colourful and highly respected women, including Evelin Ilves, Queen Silvia and Empress Michiko of Japan.
Spring in Anneli Tammik’s work is ongoing: new blossoms keep opening in different styles, treatments and materials. She is characterised by the courage and the desire to develop and experiment that every creator needs: synthesising and refining familiar patterns and forms, and testing how they work in new techniques and combinations of materials. New technological possibilities spur new developments, yet her collections still take shape through a thorough analysis and deep understanding of the motif she is working with. In addition to precious materials, various modern plastics and stainless steel have found their place on the jewellery artist’s workbench.
The artist has presented her work at dozens of exhibitions and has enjoyed success on both the domestic and international jewellery scene. Among the most important national honours, Ehestu highlights the Ede Kurrel Prize, the most significant jewellery art award in Estonia, which the Estonian Association of Metal Artists awarded to Anneli Tammik in 2004, as well as her nomination and laureate title at the Golden Needle House (Kuldne Nõelakoda) in 2022. In 2025, Anneli Tammik’s explorations and achievements in jewellery technology were recognised with a scholarship named after the legendary Estonian goldsmith and entrepreneur Roman Tavast. Ehestu also wishes to emphasise Anneli Tammik’s unique role as an ambassador of Estonian jewellery art, both in Europe, including her active participation in Munich Jewellery Week, and in the United States.
